Steve Davis // Lead Pastor
Steve Davis was halfway to an electrical engineering degree—and still considering a career in stand-up comedy—when God interrupted his life. In a six-month span, Steve transferred from a major state university to a small, Christian college, and began studying to become a pastor.
Twenty-some years later, he’s worked for two of the world’s largest corporations, pastored in three states, and planted a church near Philadelphia. And he’s pretty much given up on the stand-up comedy thing.
In 1989, against her own better judgment, Kim accepted Steve’s marriage proposal. They now have three daughters Nicole, Sierra, and Dominique, four dogs, and a shared passion to help people become all that God designed them to be.
Steve’s speaking style is energetic, down-to-earth, practical—and occasionally shows signs of the stand-up comic that wasn’t to be. And he’s still excited that God chose to interrupt his life.
Barry Jones // Executive Pastor
Barry Jones was working on a business management degree with hopes of opening his own comic book shop when God called him to the ministry. Though shocked that God would call a comic-reading nerd to ministry, he transferred to Toccoa Falls College and graduated with a degree in Christian Education.
Since graduation Barry has been a youth pastor in Florida and the senior pastor of a local church. He joined the staff of Spout Springs in August of 2010. He and his wife Angie live in Spout Springs with their two girls, Elyse and Claire.
During his time off, Pastor Barry enjoys reading, movies and woodworking. And yes, he still reads comics.
Ri¢h Guinto // Worship & Creative Arts Pastor
Rich is originally from the Tidewater area of Virginia, where he was born and raised. He started taking piano lessons at age 5, and when he was 14, he was invited to play the piano alongside his mom on the organ for church services. From that time, he was hooked!
Rich has always had a passion for the Bible, and the exciting power of music in the life of a Christ follower. He has served as a worship pastor in numerous churches across the U.S. over the past 25+ years, including Texas, Illinois, Florida & of course, North Carolina. He’s also served as a youth pastor, young adults pastor, and multimedia director.
Rich joined the Spout Springs family in the midst of the worldwide pandemic of 2020.
He has 2 adult daughters (Rachel & Leah) & is married to his high school sweetheart, Leslie. In his spare time he enjoys video games, sci-fi and all things ‘super-hero’. Ever wonder why you never see Ri¢h and Batman in the same room? Just saying…
Leslie Guinto // Director of Kids Ministry
Leslie is originally from the Tidewater area of Virginia, where she was born and raised. Leslie was raised in the church from the belly! Her family was very active in church, and her dad has served in several capacities in Ministry before going into full-time ministry. Leslie comes from a musical family, which probably helped to keep her grounded.
When Leslie was 17yrs old, she was asked to help to form a youth choir under the assistance of the Youth Pastor. From there, she began working with the Kids Ministry and found she really had a knack for working with kids. Leslie has had the honor of having some wonderful mentors along the way to teach, guide and mold her into the Director she is today.
Leslie has a passion for Kids Ministry and seeing the lightbulb moments for kids as they learn about God’s Word! She also loves the way they worship with “reckless abandon.” Leslie also believes partnering with parents is so important! It takes a village to raise a child!
Leslie joined the Spout Springs Staff in October, and she has loved every minute of getting to know the kids and their parents!
She is married to the handsome and talented Worship & Creative Arts Pastor, Rich Guinto. She has two adult daughters, Rachel and Leah. In her spare time, she loves to play with her two cats, Lola and Libby, watch superhero shows with her hubby, and watch any and all crime shows :)!
